Professional Phone System Relocation Service - Sydney Wide

If you are looking to relocate your office, it is important to do a few things first. The most important to remember is to contact your telephone line provider to confirm that the number can be moved to the new address. Sometimes, when you're moving outside the current office location, you may not be able to keep the same number.

You also need to make sure that you notify them ahead of the scheduled move date, giving as much notice as possible. It can sometimes take up to a month for the lines to be allocated a relocation date, but will usually be longer for ISDN services. PSTN lines can usually be moved within a week, but of course the more notice you give your provider the smoother the transition to your new office should be.

And lastly, you need a qualified technician to determine the cabling requirements of the new site, dismantle the system from the old office, then bring it to your new site to be installed. You will be consulted about the location of the hardware, and also what new programming configuration you may require. We are always happy to assist every step of the way.

Moving your Phone System? Here's a Checklist:

  • Tell your Service Provider (Telstra, Commander, Optus, etc)
Which services you need to relocate . Do this at least a month beforehand and make sure you keep records of your requests through email. Keep track of your communications, as if issues arise, you'll be covered.
  • Notify your Internet Service Provider (ISP)
Tell them which line you will nominate for the service to be activated on, find out the lead time for its re-activation, and ensure availability of ports at the local exchange. You may need a new service installed in advance to guarantee it will be running the day you open.
  • Check the New Site for Cabling
If it's in poor condition or does not have the required configuration, you should consider upgrading the cabling before the move while the site is empty. Much harder to install once the furniture and boxes arrive!
  • Contact your Technician
Submit your telephone system information along with any other requirements or concerns  to your tech so they can be addressed in time for the move. A site inspection of old and new would be ideal to ensure everything is accounted for.
  • Confirm the Date
Once a date for the line/s installation is booked, then we can schedule the system relocation for the same day. We can often transport your network hardware too if needed. It will all be installed again at the new office and configured to any new specifications.
  • All done - Move In!
Sorry, but it's time to get back to work...
